Dear Pastor:
As a pastor, you know we are jealous of our pulpits, I mean, we become territorial because of the total fiduciary relationship God requires of us of the people He gives us to shepherd. We are totally responsible for the impact and influence upon their spirituality.
Well, I want to recommend a fellow-pastor whom I feel you can trust to be a co-laborer of love when he comes to fill your pulpit. He is Pastor David Measures from the great nation of Great Britain. Before I invited him to serve my congregation, I invited him to a one-hour-live radio interview on my radio station here in the Chattanooga
market. As a broadcaster, I asked him the hard questions. He absolutely mesmerized that secular audience for the entire audience that was heard around the world.
Then I invited him to a special miracle night for my church people. Every single person in the building saw an answer to their prayer request. Pastor Measures put everyone at ease with his shepherd heart and warm personality, then he “broke the Bread of Life open to us. When he had prepared their hearts, he called them forward to pray the prayer of faith. Each received their healing, but I cannot even measure the corporate healing that resulted in this dedicated minister-servant. Invite him to your church. Doesn’t wear a Rolex, doesn’t wear Hickey-Freeman or 3-G suits. Doesn’t hawk his wares. He has books and DVD’s available, but his reason for being there is to minister. When it is over people buy the products because of his credibility, not his showmanship. Invite him to your church, I recommend it.

MISSION TO BULGARIA/ GREECE
July / Aug
Mission to Bulgaria and Greece
The mission started in small churches in Bulgaria, and all were successful for the Kingdom. In the first church where I ministered one person accepted Jesus and many were wonderfully healed. A lady who had a tumour the size of a large egg no longer had it after ministry.
I gave a word of knowledge about a lady who had flashes in the eyes. A lady responded who was wearing dark glasses and was totally healed.
Mark and Kirsty have been ministering in healing and deliverance during the trip. Mark has preached in 2 churches and I believe they have grown in the Lord during this mission.
We separated as a team to enable us to speak to as many people as we could. Doug and Peter ministered in other churches and saw many blessings throughout the mission.
The main crusade was at the weekend. The first meeting was worthwhile but the next night was even better. On the second evening approximately 900 people accepted Jesus as their Lord with approximately 200 healed, this was truly a wonderful meeting filled with God’s power. We were particularly pleased for Stefan, the man who arranged the crusade, for almost all the Pastors of the community joined together for the very first time, although there was some opposition. “Where there is unity the Lord gives a blessing”.
We travelled through the night to Greece just stopping for 4 hours for some rest. Our first meeting in Greece was in Thessaloniki and it was a wonderful meeting with many people healed and set free. After a couple of days rest we ministered again in Katerini in a Greek AOG Church. It was a pleasant meeting, mainly older people. There were a few who received their healing. We give the Lord the glory for all these miracles.
The next day we travelled to Alexandria. This was an interesting meeting in which we needed 3 interpreters English to Bulgarian, Bulgarian to Romaness, Romaness to Greek. Mark testified and Dougie preached. A few more people were healed. Praise The Lord!
After a day’s rest we travelled Athens for our next ministry. We had a good meeting with many healings also 6 people accepted Jesus as their Lord for the first time.
After a nights rest we prepared ourselves for speaking in a Brazilian Church, a few people accepted prayer and we had a good meeting.
The following day I ministered in a wonderful Greek Church, there were many healings and we all felt blessed by this meeting. In the evening I went to speak in another Greek Church. Many received prayer for healing and testified to their miracles.
I wish to thank everyone for their prayers and support in helping to make this mission a success. Pastor David
Mission to USA 2009
May 2009
Mission to USA
I arrived at Atlanta and was straightway taken to the FGB meeting where there was much deliverance and healings. Then next day to a men’s breakfast and in the evening I spoke at a FGB dinner in the same area.
Next day I travelled to Chattanooga but the meeting was postponed but I did an interview on a 1 hour live radio programme. The next day we travelled to the state of South Carolina where I was scheduled to speak at a 5 day tent revival meeting. The town had many big churches but there did not seem any freedom in the spirit for the first few days just a few people being healed. The last night there was a real breakthrough and everyone was healed who came for prayer also much deliverance took place.
Next day we travelled to Nashville in the state of Tennessee which was a 9 hour drive away. The following day I spoke at a Baptist church in Clarksville where I was asked not to speak on deliverance as they did not believe Christians could have demons so I was told. So I spoke on miracles and everyone in the church was healed of all types of problems. But man cannot stop what God wanted to do; I had almost finished ministering when a powerful demon raised its ugly head through a lady, she had an ancestry of Shamans. After that many people in the church also some of the leadership was delivered from demons and the church was rejoicing. The Pastor said this church needed this and that they could never pay me for the tremendous work that had been done in the church that night.
Next day I did an interview for the local TV station; there I met a minister of the Southern Baptist Church who had been at the meeting the night before. He said if anyone every spoke to him about a faith healer he would never have given 15cents for one, then he started to cry because of what he saw and what he felt himself as he had had 2 operations on his spine and was in constant pain before Jesus healed him.
My next meeting was in Chattanooga, the meeting was held in a Hotel restaurant. Everyone who was prayed for were healed including a man who had been crushed by a machine and was left with a spine problem also he had a growth in the private area of his body that vanished after prayer. Four people made a commitment for Jesus to be Lord in their lives. PTL.
My next meeting was in a small Mexican church held in a home; I decided to bring some teaching to these new converts on the parables, 1 accepted Jesus as Lord whilst others were healed.
My last meeting was on the Sunday afternoon in a conference centre where 2 churches came together to host the meeting. Many received healings for their bodies also 5 accepted Jesus as their Lord. I believe that the Lord has done much valuable work in people’s lives on this trip. I wish to thank all who pray and support me in mission work. I am looking forward to being home amongst all my friends. May the bless you all.

Mission to Brazil
March 20th - April 20th 2009
DAY 1
We eventually arrived at 1 pm in Manaus in the Amazon, Brazil. In the evening I spoke at the main church under the headship of the president of the Pentecostal churches of the Amazon. 34 people accepted Jesus as Lord and many were healed including the deaf, people which the medical profession was unable to help.
Day 2
We visited a community where they were starting a new church. Today was the first day of the church. This was a wonderful meeting and the people were so kind and loving. Here 32 new Christians were added to the Church. Everyone was prayed with for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and there was great rejoicing. The evening service was again at the main church. There were many testimonies of healing from the previous night’s ministry. On this occasion 100 people accepted Jesus as Lord and there were hundreds that came forward for healing. Scott went to minister in a small fellowship and they were blessed with 3 new believers and healings also.
Day 3
We rested until the evening where we ministered in a different church. There were approx 200 people at the meeting, Helen and Scott testified to the goodness of God in their lives and I preached the message. Approx 30 new converts were added to the church and many were healed of all types of ailments. Some had been under the supervision of doctors for years, one lady for 17 years and another for 7 years. Also a lady who had large fibroids in the womb was healed which was confirmed by the doctor later in the week.
Day 4
We were invited to go for a trip on the Amazon River and we had a lunch in a world famous fish restaurant. In the evening, Helen ministered at a 2 day ladies conference and Scott went to another church. Helen gave a wonderful message to 400+ ladies and many received prayer for past hurts and other needs.
Day 5
I spoke at a Pastors and wives meeting on ‘deception in the last days’ and touched on deliverance. There were many questions afterwards but I felt the Lord gave me the grace and knowledge to answer all of them. In the evening Helen spoke at the final night of the Ladies conference and I went to minister in another church. The meetings were both wonderful, Helen had approx 400 ladies and many were set free from emotional problems and there were many testimonies of healings from the previous night’s ministry. At the meeting I attended, there were 600+ people. There were testimonies of healings including a man that was almost blind. Many were set free from powers of witchcraft and Satanism and 30 people accepted Jesus as their Lord for the first time.
Day 8
In the morning we travelled to Itacotiara, a small town in the interior of the rain forest. The meeting was small but in a large church; very heavy spiritually only a few were healed. There was 1 person who accepted Jesus for the first time. It reminded me of when Jesus could hardly do any miracles in a certain town because of their unbelief; the church had meetings with the youth wearing occult symbols.
Day 7
Helen spoke wonderfully in the morning in another church in which there was a different presence, there were many that were healed and delivered. In the evening I spoke in the first church and the atmosphere was still the same as the night before, 1 person received Jesus and a few received prayer.
Day 8
Helen led a ladies meeting, many responded for past hurts and for healing of their bodies. In the evening Helen went to preach in the main church whilst I went back to another church. Eleven people responded to salvation under Helen’s ministry and many were healed and set free. In the church where I preached, one person accepted Jesus as Lord. Everyone who was received prayer for healing gave testimony of their healing.
Day 9
In the morning I taught the cell group leaders about their responsibility as leaders of their respective cells. The Pastor was very pleased as I touched on all the sensitive areas of the church. In the evening Scott went to another church whilst I preached in the host church. Scott preached a full message for the first time; it was a very powerful meeting. The church was full, approx 200 people; 8 people gave their lives to Jesus. Many were healed including a lady who could not walk. She was carried in by four men but after prayer, she walked out of the church unaided and was totally healed. Her husband who had tried to poison himself because of all the pressure of his life was set free. Many were set free from demons and prostitution. In the main church where I preached there was a different spirit after all the cell group leaders made reconciliation with the Pastor and it was a great meeting. About 200 people received deliverance from demons and many were healed including an old man who was blind. There were 11 people who became believers. After the services, we were taken for a meal then on to the boat for a night voyage on the Amazon River. We slept in hammocks and had an enjoyable trip; we arrived next morning at 4am at Itapiranga.
Day 10
This city was a small city of approx 5000 people who all seemed very poor; the houses were made of wood with tin roofs. The church meeting was very good, Scott testified and I preached. 11 accepted Jesus and almost the whole church were set free from demons, many ancestral. There was many healings including a lady who was suffering from fibroids and head and throat problems, she had travelled 6 hours by outboard motor boat to attend the meeting. Also a man who had been suffering from headaches for many years was healed.
Day 11
In the morning the Pastor invited us to go fishing on the Amazon. This was a very nice experience; they cooked the fish we caught on board the boat. The meeting at night was good as 11 people accepted Jesus as their saviour and many gave testimony of their healings.
Day 12
We had to leave very early in the morning for a 6 hour car ride back to Manaus airport to fly to Port Velho. The meeting at night was in an AOG church and 4 accepted Jesus as their Lord. Many gave testimony of healings which happened that night.
Day 13
This was the start of the 4 day crusade in this church. The meeting was good with approx 350 persons present. There were testimonies of healings and 3 accepted Jesus also 5 made a new commitment to serve the Lord.
Day 14
This meeting was in the same church. The meeting was smaller and for the first time at this place I felt a resistance to the gospel message. In spite of the challenge I gave to the church with regard to bringing the unsaved, only 2 people accepted Jesus. Nevertheless people gave testimony of healings and a deaf and dumb boy approx 19 years of age was set free and healed.
Day 15
The meeting was a Missions service for all the churches of the area and I had the privilege to speak at this service. Six couples were ordained for ministry and were sent out to serve the Lord and to start new churches; the place was full of people and approx 200 outside, probably 1000 in total. I had the privilege of addressing the people on Mark Ch 1 v 35 where the disciples said ‘everyone was looking for Jesus’. Many people were prayed for healing and 12 accepted Jesus for the first time.
Day 16
In the evening Scott ministered in a small church of approx 50 people, one person received Jesus as her Lord. There were testimonies of healings including one man whose spine was crumbling and in much pain. He had the doctors letters with him but he was no longer in pain after Scott prayed for him. A girl with a high fever was also instantly healed. In the church where I was ministering, 20 people accepted Jesus and many were healed there also.
Day 17
Day was spent travelling to Rio de Janerio.
Day 18/19
Free time in Rio de Janerio
Day 20
We caught a flight to Belo Horizonte in the state of Mina Gerais for our next preaching engagement. The meetings were held in a gymnasium and on the first night there were two people who accepted Jesus as their Saviour and many testified to their healing. People received healing of their eyesight and limbs were healed.
Day 21
This night Scott testified and I preached. The presence of God was so real. Many were healed including approx 8 ladies with breast cancer. After prayer all the lumps were gone. People responded to the challenge of salvation totaling 14 souls for the kingdom.
Day 22
The meeting was small this night but was filled with Power as I spoke about the ‘blessings which come from heaven’ and Jesus taking the keys of ‘Death and Hell’. A man in a wheelchair who had suffered from 4 strokes was healed; he pushed his wife out the church in ‘his’ wheelchair. Praise the Lord! A lady approx 35 years of age who was a mute was set free and spoke for her first time, ‘even in English’ as she repeated after me. Also many others gave testimony of their healings.
Day 23
Today was Easter Sunday. We visited a street market where there seemed to be thousands of people. Afterwards we prepared ourselves for the meeting at night. It was in the church building and was a very nice service. One girl accepted Jesus as her Saviour and many were healed. People received back their hearing, also eyesight was restored and a man who had a stroke who could hardly walk ran in the church. Many back problems were healed and limbs were restored back to full health.
Day 24
Today was Easter Monday and was a free day for us.
Day 25
We moved to another area in Belo Horizonte. The meeting was in a very nice Baptist Church and many other Pastors were there also. There were testimonies of healings and 3 people accepted Jesus as their Lord.
Day 26
After lunch we went to the healing service of the church. I preached about the ‘Man in the tombs’ and we had a deliverance service. Everyone confessed that they had received healing except one man whose eyesight was restoring gradually. There was a young girl approx 17 years old who had been paralyzed who was using crutches walked from the church unaided.
Day 27
This day was our last day in Belo Horizonte. It was a great meeting with 7 accepting Jesus as their Lord. Many were healed from eyesight problems including 2 blind people that could see very faintly after prayer. One lady had her hearing restored and many back and shoulder problems were healed.
Day 28
We rose early and travelled by car to the outskirts of Sao Paulo to a city called Camanducaia. The church was a nice building with approx. 100 persons there. Scott testified and I preached from Mark Ch 5 ‘about the woman who touched Jesus’. There were many testimonies of healings also 10 responded to the call of Salvation.
Day 29
In the morning I spoke at a Pastors meeting attended by many Pastors from Sao Paulo. The evening meeting was a joint celebration with other churches. I preached and 8 people accepted Jesus as Lord also there was miraculous healings. A Lady had tumours on both breasts but they had disappeared after prayer! A man who could not put any weight on his left foot jumped up and down after prayer and was totally healed.
Day 30
This was our final day in Brazil on this mission. Helen testified and I preached. There were many healings also 15 people responded to the call of Salvation. The mission has been well worth it as approx 450 people have been added to the kingdom and there have been hundreds of healings of which we give Jesus all the praise.
We wish to thank everyone for their prayers and support for the mission and pray you all receive the Lord’s blessing for your life. Every Blessing, David
MISSION TO NIGERIA
October 2008
We arrived in Lagos at night. We thought there must be a power cut but it soon became evident that there was no power grid and only generators. The church was outside with a makeshift roof over it. The first three nights we saw approximately seventy people accept Jesus as their Lord. People were healed and many set free from ancestral spirits of witchcraft. A lady Pastor was delighted when a tumour on her right breast totally disappeared after ministry. A man was healed who had no feeling in his private parts and legs. A man stopped the car we were in to tell us that next day after prayer he felt much different and the Demons had left him; some slime had come from him and he felt wonderful. Today we move to another township to start a crusade where there is no believing church.
We travelled late evening to Ayoba. We have never seen traffic like this in all our lives as there are hundreds of motorcycles; cars; and vans. The fumes that are generated are like nothing you could imagine and the roads are terrible. But the worst roads were yet to come as we veered off the road onto a waterlogged track. There were stranded vans and cars in water. There were holes in this road approximately three feet deep filled with lots of water and rocks. This was a stressful and daunting experience for us, as we were in a car filled luggage and four people. It was very dark except for the car lights as there is hardly any electricity in the whole city of Lagos. We really prayed at this time I can tell you.
When we arrived at the village a fight broke out with the men in the van in front of us and three men with a gun. I was told that these three men were security guards who wanted money from the van driver. I really wondered why we had come, but God knew! After this episode, we arrived at a very small hotel which was very basic. This is a village under development. The meeting was outside and we had a generator that kept breaking down. We had a battle with mosquitoes, nevertheless 35 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and many were healed.
The people are saying 'the day the white man came to this area'. We are the first, Glory to God.
On Saturday night we met in the same place and approximately thirty people responded for salvation including approximately twenty children. A man agreed to let the church use his premises as the previous person had declined. Sunday was our last meeting in this neighbourhood; it was a very hot day as I had to preach in the full sun. It was a meeting for the believers. Afterwards we travelled back nearer to the city of Lagos. The journey was a nightmare because of the traffic. In Nigeria the people are a law into themselves on the roads. I had a most uncomfortable night with insect bites and lizards in the room. Next day was to be our day to return to the UK and we were definitely ready for home. It has been an experience that I will probably never forget although I really want to for many reasons not yet disclosed.
Scott and I wish to thank everyone for their support and prayers whilst we were away on this particular mission.
Pastor David
MISSION TO BULGARIA
September 2008
First of all I wish to thank all those who have supported me on this trip, as the conference in the National Culture Centre cost in excess of 13,000 Euros. The conference was a great success with over 170 accepting Jesus as their Lord. There were many miracles too numerous to count. All this would not be possible with your kind support so I pray you all feel that you are part of this and I pray you all reap the reward one day when we meet Our Lord and Saviour. Already the organizers are asking me to return ASAP for another such conference next year. That will only be if the LORD desires this to be done; it may be so as His will is that none should be lost but all are to come to the accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
After the main conference we went to different churches where there were great blessings. These people are extremely poor compared to all other countries in the European Union, yet their hearts are very open for the Lord. Part of the team ministered in one church whilst we went to another. Collectively 30 plus accepted Jesus as Lord also many were set free out of the enemy’s clutch and many received healing for their bodies.
Throughout the rest of the week we ministered to different churches. All types of illnesses left people all to prove that Jesus is the same ‘Yesterday Today and Forever’. I want to explain about a few, to me the greatest healing was a small 8 year old boy. He was brought on to the stage by his grandmother and was born with a problem in his right arm. Whilst on the stage he was crying because he had always been in constant pain. I prayed for him in on the stage and he was healed, with no pain for the first time since he had been born. There was also a Lady who had been traumatised for most of her life sexually from her brother hoping to get his own back on his parents for rejecting him. This was deep problem that led her into many bad things. Jesus set her free from all the demons that had entered her life. The next night she testified to all that had happened to her. At this church 55 people accepted Jesus as their Lord for the first time in their lives. Later in the week we travelled back to Sofia where as a team we ministered in different churches. There was much deliverance, many healings and approximately another 20 people accepting Jesus as their Lord. This made approximately 275 new believers for the Kingdom of God, which was a great thing for all of us and I pray for all who have supported me to feel part of the blessings.
I am working on the DVD of the main conference and all you precious partners who have supported me will be receiving one shortly. I pray that together with the Lord we can make a difference in our generation, bringing hope and joy to many disillusioned souls throughout the world. May God bless you all.
Bulgaria 2008
2008
We arrived in Sofia, the Capital, three hours late at approximately three o’clock on the Saturday morning. After a rest we went to visit a friend of our coordinator.
Day1
I spoke at a church where eight people accepted Jesus as Lord, also many were healed. We were taken to see a lady who had a brain tumour, where we prayed for her. Her husband accepted Jesus as well.
Day 2
Bob and Gill went to a gypsy church, whilst I rested that morning. In the evening we went to a different church where many were healed, including the deaf and the crippled and eleven people accepted Jesus as their Saviour.
Day 3
This was a day off so we went to the mountains sightseeing.
Day 4
This day we travelled to Plodiv. It was a small church in a gypsy area. There were many miracles including a man who had been blinded in his left eye was healed; a girl who was deaf and dumb was healed; and four people accepted Jesus as their Saviour.
Day 5
Today we travelled to Yambol where eighteen people responded for salvation and many miracles happened here as well. A man who had been a singer in a choir in the communist times had been made deaf in his right ear by pushing a rod into it. They did this because he used to sing to Jesus, but after thirty years he was totally healed.
Day 6
We went to a town by the Black Sea called Bourgas. The church here was a very nice building which used to be a discotheque. There were a few people healed of back and head problems also nine responded for salvation.
Day 7
Today we arrived in an old Turkish town called Shumen; we were to stay here three days. The Pastor and his wife had been through many persecutions here, not only from the authorities but from so-called Christians. Their lives had been threatened and attempts had been made to kill them. I was told a Pastor from England had worked with some corrupt judges and lawyers in Bulgaria to take the church off the local Pastor and had made forged papers to take his church building, which they had successfully done. This took some believing, so I decided to go to see this building for myself and spoke to the people there. I felt such an evil presence in the place; therefore I believed the story to be true.
In this stolen building, there were approximately six people for the Sunday morning service. In the new church where we spoke, there were eight hundred people. The Bible tells us that where envy is present all evil is there as well, I believe this to be the case here.
In our meeting the Lord was truly present as approximately seventy people responded for the call of salvation. There were numerous miracles, including a young boy who was deaf and dumb was healed; an old man took out his hearing aid and found he was totally healed; a lady threw way both her crutches and got out of her seat and walked in front of the stage.
Day 8
Before the meeting we visited an old people’s home. This was a very poor place and it was a very sad situation. I spoke to a group of men and ladies and approximately thirty five accepted Jesus for the first time. This included a Muslim lady worker in the home. In the church forty people were saved. Again numerous miracles occurred including a girl who was approximately seventeen years old who was deaf and dumb. She was totally set free and healed.
Day 9
This day was our last day in this town and we had a really anointed meeting. There were many miracles with cancers leaving people; shoulders, backs, legs, healed; and all types of sicknesses left people. There were sixty six people who accepted Jesus as their Saviour for the first time in their lives.
After the meeting we travelled a long way back to Sofia, where we had a meeting that night. It was a good meeting as people had many curses broken in their lives. A young blind boy of approximately fourteen years old was prayed for but at that time he only seemed marginally better. Next day the Pastor told me he was totally well.
Day 10
This was to be our last day in Bulgaria. Bob and I went to a small gypsy church where there was much deliverance from evil spirits and we saw many people healed. Gill went to another church to give her testimony and again many were encouraged and set free from their problems.
Day 11
Homeward bound! I wish to thank everyone for their love; prayer; and support in making this mission a success. We wish to give all the glory to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Brazil 2008
2008
We arrived in Manaus in the Amazon region of Brazil after twenty two hours traveling on three different flights. We were met by Pastor John Nunes and his elder son. It was very late in the evening when we arrived so he took us straight to the Hotel. After a good nights sleep (which was really a blessing to us) we got up and had breakfast. At last we felt like we were on mission in Brazil.
Day 1
We were picked up around 6 p.m. and went to our first meeting which was held in the open air. The meeting was in a poor neighbourhood, but there were approximately 800 people present on a small soccer pitch. Approximately 80 people committed their lives to Jesus and there were many miraculous healings that night. These included a man who was totally blind and a woman who was blind in one eye who now can both see. Also a woman was healed and got out of her wheelchair. There were indeed many miracles and many demons cast out at the meeting.
Day 2
Today’s event was another open air meeting held at the local police headquarters, where approximately 100 people accepted Jesus. There were some notable miracles that night. These included a girl who was approximately thirteen years old who was dumb. The first word she said was ‘Hello’. Oh she speaks English I said. Afterwards she was speaking many words in Portuguese. People were healed of all kinds of ailments and many demons were cast out.
Day 3
Sunday morning we were in a small church of approximately 50 people. Two people accepted Jesus as their Saviour and some people were healed by Jesus. A lady testified that her cancer had disappeared; and a woman was healed of her lameness and started to walk freely. People testified of having problems in the spine /hands/legs and arms but they were healed in Jesus name. Amen!!!!
Day 3 Evening meeting
This meeting was again held at the Police headquarters in an area of Manaus called Petropolis. The weather was very good as it was a fine evening for an open air meeting. There were approximately 60 people who made decisions to accept Jesus as their Saviour for the first time. The healings were too numerous to remember, but one which certainly had an impact on all present was a boy of around 15 years of age who was born deaf and dumb. His sister was a member of the church and as you can imagine was very emotional as she heard her brother speak for the first time and could hear very well. Praise the Lord.
Day 4
Tonight’s meeting was again in the open air, where approximately seventy people accepted Christ as Saviour. There were many healings, people’s lives were fundamentally changed. The meeting was an outreach into a new area for the churches.
Day 5
Tonight’s meeting was in a new area and the meetings were held in the church. The Pastor’s name was Carlos and my interpreter was Junio. It was his first time and to begin with it was quite difficult. One person accepted Jesus and there were many healings.
Day 6
The day started early as after breakfast we were taken to the harbour to go for a boat ride with Marcel. He is a navy captain who has his own speed boat. Wow it was a fast ride!! We visited a part of the jungle where we saw our first alligator and we traveled from the River Niger and on to the River Amazon. This was an amazing experience as the River Niger is black and the River Amazon is white yet there is a distinct line where they meet as the waters will not mix with each other. Then we traveled along way down the Amazon to a remote village, to the family home of the boat driver and his wife. Here we walked into the village and prayed for the sick and led people to Christ. We were fed with the Amazon’s famous fish ‘Tumbaki’. For a person that does not each much fish it was an experience as I found it actually was very good. Altogether this trip was probably one of the most memorable times in our lives. Not only because of the trip on the Amazon, but when we arrived back at the harbour side which was very primitive and dirty in the surroundings, as we were walking by the Lord stopped me, as I saw an old lady with her husband waiting for a boat ride into the jungle to go back to her home. I stopped the Pastor and said ‘wait a minute this old lady is blind, I have to pray for her’ The Pastor was surprised but I told him to go back and ask her if she would like to be healed. She said ‘yes’ and also she could hardly walk. I asked the Lord to heal her and she instantly received back her sight and she could walk better. Both her and her husband accepted Jesus as their Saviour. Praise the Lord!
We arrived back at our Hotel just in time to get ready for the meeting at night which was in the same church. My interpreter was Elivaldo who was excellent and the meeting flowed very well. Seven people accepted Jesus and the Holy Spirit touched and healed many people.
Day 7
Today started early with Helen leading a ladies meeting for Pastor’s wives and lady helpers as well as leaders of the churches. There were over three hundred at the teaching, with almost all receiving prayer afterwards. The meeting that night was the last meeting to be held with Pastor Carlos. Twelve people accepted Jesus, many were healed and there were many testimonies of healing from the previous night’s meeting.
Day 8
There were two meetings with the first happening at 5 p.m. and the next beginning at 7 p.m. The meetings were in two different churches. The first church organised a special meeting as there was a curse that needed lifting as a result of the previous Pastors lifestyle. This influence had affected the whole church, probably because of the witchcraft in the area against the church. The new Pastor stood his ground and repented before God of the previous Pastors sin. Then we prayed for everyone in the church and broke the curse. A young fifteen year old girl who was born deaf and dumb was healed. She was speaking quite well for the first time which was very surprising as she had never heard any language before.
Straightway after the service we were taken across to another part of the city to the church of Pastor Barbi. Many were healed and eight people accepted Jesus for the first time.
Day 9
We were picked up at 8 a.m. and taken by car to a new area in Manaus for breakfast. After breakfast we went by car into the jungle area. We went swimming in a very nice pool belonging to the owner of the farm we were taken to. In an orange grove, we had fresh oranges and coconut milk.
The meeting at night was a very anointed time as all the church had been praying for a month for this day. There were ten people that accepted Jesus and there were many miracles. A young man of approximately eighteen years of age who was dumb began to speak; four people walked out of wheelchairs. One of the four could not walk before; another had cancer of the right leg; another was paralyzed; and the other was an old lady who could not walk and was totally blind in both eyes. I guess at her age she probably thought she would never walk or see again in her life. She was totally healed Praise the Lord!
Day 10
This Sunday was to be our last day in the Amazon area. The morning meeting was held at the church of Pastor Julio. The meeting was held in a school’s outside sports gymnasium. Approximately six hundred people attended the meeting and there were fifty four first time commitments to Jesus. Wonderful miracles took place at the meeting; there was a lady who had a problem with her right foot, she had been saving her money for over 2 years to have an operation. She did not need an operation after Dr Jesus had met her; she was healed, and testified to Gods healing power.
Just before the evening meeting the heavens opened and at first we thought the meeting would be abandoned but the driver did pick us up and there were over six hundred people in the church that night. There was many healings and deliverances and ten people accepted Jesus as Saviour.
Day 11
This was a traveling and rest day so we left Manaus for Porto Velho in the State of Rondonia. We stayed in a nice house belonging to Silvia and her husband, who were members of the church.
Day 12
In the morning I spoke at a meeting with most of the Pastors in the town. I spoke on Isaiah chapters 56 and 57. The section of the Bible where it states God’s watchmen are blind. At the evening meeting, there were approximately 1300 people in attendance. I gave them all a challenge to bring every sick person that they knew to the following meetings. I had words of knowledge from God about people with bone problems and cancer in the meeting. Many came forward and many were healed that night. There were also thirty three people who accepted Jesus for the first time; these included a transvestite who had only limited male sexual organs. He had connections with Black Magic, whether directly or indirectly I do not know. But when I prayed for him, a big demon manifested and he was set free. He ripped off the top part of his female dress uncovering his chest and said he was free.
Day 13
In the afternoon, we went to the local hospital to pray for a nine year old girl who was in intensive care. She had been in the USA all her life but her parents had come back to Brazil. Consequently she had not been used to the local germs; she had scratched herself and caught a deadly infection. Her mother was going by the church and she had heard me speaking on miracles. So she came in to the meeting and asked if I could go to pray for her child in the hospital. Later she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour. The hospital visit we believe was a divine appointment.
The meeting was a great meeting at night attended by approximately nine hundred people. Twelve people accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour; many people were healed including an old man who was suffering from a stroke and could not walk. This man was being helped by two and sometimes three people when he moved. After prayer he walked on his own across the church also up and down the steps onto the platform. Praise God.
Day 14
Today we went for a drive by car to an area that is proposed to become the biggest Hydro Electric Power Station in the world. They are proposing to flood a vast area of the forest. The river runs at a terrific speed thus making it ideal for the proposed project. For six months, the environmental activists ‘Greenpeace’ have been protesting but this have failed. I t is a place of outstanding beauty and wildlife, but ‘progress’ has beaten them. It will supply electricity to parts of the USA as well as South America and will involve jobs for two million people that they expect to come to the area. In the afternoon, we went to pray for the previous Pastor of the church, he was now quite old. Fifteen years ago he had an accident when he fell off the roof. He had been to the hospital and they had damaged his spine. He had lain on his bed for fifteen years and could not move his left leg at all. I felt so sorry for him, bedridden in a poor house with no air conditioning in such a hot climate. His children came everyday to look after him, and sometimes he would choke when eating as he always laid flat. We saw such a miracle when we prayed; he started to kick his left foot. We stood him up and he did one step with his left foot before becoming very tired, But Praise the Lord the miracle has taken place.
The evening meeting was a great meeting with approximately thirty two people giving their lives to Jesus. Many people were healed that night but at first I had felt a resistance to the moving of the Holy Spirit. I was delighted to here a testimony of a man I prayed for last year who had Leprosy. He came specially to give the testimony of his miracle as he was healed through my prayers last year. Also the young man who was prayed for 2 nights ago who was a transvestite, came dressed as a man. He was a real confused person previously because he had male and female parts. He had the ability so doctors had said to have a baby, but he also had male organs as a man but limited. I cursed the female parts when he received prayer and asked the Lord to develop the male parts as a viral man. He came and gave a testimony to all that he was now a real functioning man. What an amazing God we have!!!
Day 15
At 9.00 a.m. in the morning Helen went to speak at a ladies meeting for all the churches of the city of Port Velho. It was mainly a meeting for Pastors wives and approximately seventy ladies were present. It was a time of emotional healing and deliverance for this group, and all were blessed as people gave testimony of their healings. The night meeting took on a similar theme as I was led to speak of healing and restoration. Approximately twelve people accepted Jesus as their Lord and many testified of their healings both from that night as well as some from the previous meetings.
Day 16
Today I received a message from Pastor John Nunes who was my host in Manaus. He told me about the little girl that I prayed for who was born deaf and dumb. Her mother took her to the doctors to have her hearing and speech tested. The doctors said that she had had a miracle because she is no longer deaf and dumb. It is so good when the medical profession have to accept that Jesus is still the same ‘Yesterday Today and Forever’. The night meeting was another good meeting; there were twelve people who accepted Jesus as their Lord and there were many healings that night. A man who had to be helped into the room was walking in the front of the stage totally healed. A deaf mute who was approximately forty-five years of age was healed. Two deaf people were healed and many powerful demons were cast out as I spoke about ‘The man in the tombs’.
Day 17
This was to be my last day in Porto Velho; we were scheduled to speak twice as it was a Sunday. The morning meeting started quite early at 9.00 a.m. It was another good meeting mainly for the church; I spoke on conditions and promises. Many received prayer for anointing. I believe this church has really been set free.
The meeting in the evening was a wonderful meeting, I spoke on Psalm 103. Approximately fifty people accepted Jesus as Lord and there were many miracles. Most of the church cried when we said our goodbyes. We went straight to the airport for our next mission which was in Rio de Janerio. After having a shower, we found the flight was delayed for approximately two hours.
Day 18
We arrived in Rio and went straight to bed for a sleep. Next day we were to travel to the imperial city of Petropolis.
Day 19
After arriving in Petropolis we went for a horse and carriage ride around the city. The meeting was a small meeting as the church had been on a teaching course for three weeks. An extra meeting was therefore a bit too much for most people. Nevertheless everyone who was prayed for to be healed received their miracle. Approximately twenty five people received ministry. Cancers left two people instantly; many bone problems were healed with one lady who had been suffering for twenty-three years from arthritis was instantly healed. People with stomach problems were healed and demons were cast out.
Day 20
We arrived back in the city of Rio de Janerio today. The meeting was in a relatively new church and with around sixty people attending. Many people were healed of all types of sickness and eight people accepted Jesus as their Saviour.
Day 21
This was to be our last day of ministry before returning to the UK. It was in an area that was renowned for crime and violence. There were around one hundred and fifty people at the meeting. Eight people accepted Jesus as their Saviour and many were healed from a variety of illnesses.
Day 22
Homeward Bound. We had a good travel back home, with the blessings of the Lord. Our luggage was way over weight, so we asked the Lord to make it light. When in Rio, Tam airlines booked our luggage all the way to Birmingham, so it did not have to be checked in at KLM airlines; bypassing Rio/Sao Paulo/Amsterdam then to England. Even in Birmingham the luggage was delayed 4 hours so it was taken to our home and even brought into our house for us. How light can you get it!!!
We give the Lord Praise for everything and for the opportunity to serve Him in this way. Also we give thanks for all those who share in this ministry; for all your support and prayers also for those who have looked after our pets and home. Many Thanks

Mission to Nashville,Tenessee, USA
January 2008
We were met at the airport by Rev Stu Martin as we landed in Nashville Tennessee. Unfortunately on arrival there was a problem with our case as the lock had been broken in transit. However, we had a new case given to us by the airline, so all worked really out well in the end.
Our first meeting was on Saturday evening at a town called Gallatin at the FGBMFI dinner. Both Helen and I gave our testimonies and 3 responded for salvation. There were many healed that night. The healings included a man who had previously been in a very bad car accident with his body now being held together by steel pins. He was in constant pain all the time. As he was prayed for all the pain left his body. What a relief for him!!
On Sunday morning we ministered at a Pentecostal in Dickson. Helen read a poem she had written and I preached. There were approx 100 people present; as we ministered many were set free from ungodly ties including secret societies. Many received healing in their bodies. This included a lady who was crying because of the pain in her foot that was due to cancer. She left the church with no pain and 4 days later we saw her in a restaurant and she was rejoicing as the cancer had gone and was totally healed.
Sunday evening we ministered at the National Cowboy Church. This was a wonderful meeting and we were in the presence of many country and western recording stars. One lady gave her life to the Lord Jesus and many others were healed. This included deaf people hearing; people with crutches healed of their problems and leaving their crutches behind them in the church; eyesight was restored to people; arthritis left people and spirits left in the name of Jesus. We really enjoyed the love and presence of Jesus at this Church.
The next day we caught a flight to Jacksonville Florida to see our friend and fellow evangelist Jim Epley. We enjoyed 2 days with Jim before travelling back to Nashville.
The following Friday, Helen ministered to a ladies meeting in Springfield. All those attending said that they had a blessed time as Helen shared her testimony. Helen taught on the Word of God and the deceptiveness of Masonry in the Church. I travelled down to the state of Georgia near Atlanta to the FGBMFI Georgia Men’s advance, where I gave my testimony to over 1000 men. Many spoke to me later and told me that they enjoyed listening and were helped.
Sunday morning was a great meeting at the ‘I am a lighthouse Church’ at Wrigley.
The Pastor was very open to all the ministry and they had the largest congregation ever 117 people. A call was made for Salvation and 12 responded, all 12 were first timers to the church. Helen testified and ministered to many as the Lord used her to set many free and perform miraculous signs and wonders. Crutches were thrown away; the deaf began to hear; spines were healed; hands and feet healed; and all types of personal hurts were restored.
After approximately a one hour rest, we travelled to Clarksville where we ministered in a large AOG Church, ‘The First Assembly of God of Clarksville’. This church is under the leadership of Pastor Louie. This was a great meeting Helen read her poem and I preached. There was a large response for healing. The Lord used Helen to heal many people including a little boy with a deformed hand who went back to his seat showing everyone his restored hand. She also ministered to a lady who came on crutches but no longer needed them after she received prayer. Other healings included the deaf hearing; people with bad backs were healed; an 85 year old lady who was in constant pain, was pain free as she ran up the aisle and danced in the church. The Pastor’s wife was healed in her hand and the Pastor was amazed at so many miracles. He has invited us to go to his church again where he wants to put on something special in the area.
Helen and I wish to thank everyone for their love and support and all those who prayed for the mission. Your prayers have been answered and many have said that through our visit to the USA they feel the Lord has opened up new avenues and the USA is about to be changed by the miraculous Power of His Holy Spirit at work through ordinary people.
May God Bless you all

CRUSADES IN BRAZIL
SEPTEMBER 2007
Day 1
The Mission started on the 11th Sept. After flying to Sao Paulo from Birmingham via Zurich, I then boarded a flight to Florianopolis in the state of Santa Catarina in Southern Brazil. My first city where I ministered was called Timbo. Timbo is a very nice town with the church being an evangelical church of approximately four hundred people. Five people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and this included my interpreter. There were many demons and curses broken that night. There were also wonderful healings of sight being restored, the deaf hearing again and back, face, legs, and feet healed.
Day 2
The next day we were at the same church. I had a barbeque lunch at the Apostle’s home which I enjoyed very much. The meeting at night was hard as they did not have an interpreter only my guide who had never spoken in English before. He had only learnt at school but he was helped by a lady who had a similar level of English. Nevertheless the Lord Jesus used me to minister very powerfully with almost one hundred and fifty people receiving prayer to have sexual bondage to soul ties broken and approximately a hundred people for healing. Many people were touched by the Lord with one man who I told to throw away his crutch and he then walked perfectly. There were so many other healings that night. Also four people accepted the Lord Jesus into their hearts.
Day 3
The next day after breakfast I was taken by car to my next place which was a seven hour drive to a city called Herval D’Oeste. I arrived here at six o’clock and was picked up at seven o’clock to go to the meeting. There were approximately three hundred people at the meeting with over thirty people responding to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. There were many healed and set free from demons that night. The Pastor’s mother-in-law was healed of deafness.
Day 4
The lady who had been healed of deafness the previous night had a prophetic dream about my ministry; time will tell if it was from the Lord. This was a rest day for me as my good friend Dario preached at night. It was a pleasure to be in the meeting as the movement of the Lord’s spirit was great. Many testified of the miracles that they received that night. This included a girl who was around twenty-two years old. She had been born deaf but that night the Lord opened her ears. Praise God!
Day 5
We were still in Herval D’Oeste and I met with the same church with nearly four hundred people attending the meeting. Forty-four people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour with many healed and delivered. An elderly lady who had been paralyzed in her legs in an accident and was in a wheelchair, walked four steps on her own. We put her back in her wheelchair because she was very fearful, but now she is not paralyzed.
Day 6
Today I had to say goodbye to the people of Herval D’Oeste and head for horizons new to a city called Vidara which is still in the State of Santa Catarina. The meeting started at six o’clock as it was Sunday. The church was full approximately five hundred people. Eight people responded to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and many were healed and set free. Jesus really loves His people. A little thin old lady who was around eighty to ninety years old came forward. She suffered from headaches and could not walk very well but after prayer she walked up and down the steps of the stage with no problem at all and with no headache.
Day 7
Today I was in the same city at the same church. The meeting again was full and I had a feeling that the Lord was going to do something special. Sixteen accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour with almost all the church wanting to receive prayer to receive a touch from the Lord. I don’t think I have encountered such a powerful presence of God’s spirit as that night. Everyone went home blessed; this was excellent because it was the last night of the conference in the state of Santa Catarina.
Day 8
Today was a travelling day. I had breakfast at seven in the morning and left the hotel for a five or six hour drive to Chapeco to catch the airplane to Rio De Janerio. The city where I was to minister was Cabo Frio. When I arrived at the airport the weather was so bad that the plane was cancelled. So I had a 10 hour bus ride to Florianopolis. I arrived at two thirty in the morning and had to wait until seven thirty some five hours later to go to Sao Paulo. I caught a flight to Rio and arrived there at eleven in the morning. I then took a car to Cabo Frio for three hours and on to the meeting.
Day 9
The church at Cabo Frio was a small Presbyterian church on the outskirts of the city. I had two young girls as interpreters and it was their first time as interpreters. We had a wonderful meeting at the church which was not used to the Holy Spirit moving and healing people. Approximately twelve people came forward to be healed and almost all confessed they had been healed and set free. I stayed in a very nice home with a lovely family who had a 38 year old son named Marcelo. Marcelo had the gift of prophesy. For all those that are reading this I ask you to pray for him. When his mother was carrying him in the womb the doctors did something wrong. He was born with no co-ordination and twisted all over, there must be a name for it, but I do not know it. I do know there is a name which can overcome his complaint and that is the name of Jesus. I prayed for him a few times.
Day 10
In the afternoon I was taken back to the centre of Cabo Frio for my next engagement. When I reached Cabo Frio I found there was no meeting that night for me so I had a rest which was good.
Day 11
Today the meeting was still in Cabo Frio at Comudicade Avar-ois under the leadership of Pastor Paulo Pereira who was a converted Jew. Here, there was a small congregation of about thirty five people and one person gave their life to Jesus. Many of the congregation were delivered and healed.
Day 12
Today the meeting was in Pastor Washington’s church called Mar. Here two people accepted The Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour. There was much deliverance with approximately ninety five percent of the church set free. There were also many healings including a lady who had been wearing an arm brace and she was totally healed. Another lady’s hearing was restored and a man with a neck and back problem was healed. Other people with leg and back problems were restored.
Day 13
Today the meeting was in a church called Redencao (Hope Garden) under the leadership of Pastor William. The church was in a very poor area, yet they were not poor in their search for Jesus. Everyone in the church was at one time under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Many testified of their healings and for being set free. There were six new converts to the Lord Jesus this night.
Day 14
Today was to be my last day in Cabo Frio before travelling to Fortaleza in the north of Brazil. My last meeting in this city was in the church of Pastor Antonio. The church is called Evangelistica Cominadade Santidade. When I arrived the electricity supply had gone off; so at first we had no power. Then my interpreter who I had not worked with before could hardly understand anything that I was saying, so I decided to pray for the Holy Spirit to touch people. There was much deliverance and healings at the meeting. One remarkable healing was a lady who had a tumour as big as a man’s fist in her stomach was instantly healed with no sign of the lump remaining. Another man who could not move his right ankle was healed as after prayer he was jumping and leaping around. There were approximately ten people who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Praise God.
Day 15
An early morning start to catch the flight to Fortaleza in the North East of Brazil was in order. The Pastor here took me to a very nice fish restaurant overhanging the ocean. The water here was crystal clear. The meeting was held at a church called Comunicade Sara. This was a large church of eight hundred teenagers and young adults. My interpreter was Fahyre who was twenty six and spoke very good English. She had a beautiful spirit. She had been living in Los Angeles with her parents for many years. This church was part of a very large group of churches in Brazil and over most of the world. They worked in cell groups where if you are a believer after a period of time you start your own cell group but not with other believers. Twice a week all the cells meet in the main church. This church was started by a Pastor in Brasilia who had a vision for the young. This was a church which had never seen the moving of the Spirit when people were being prayed for. There was much deliverance and healings with approximately thirty to thirty-five people accepting Jesus for the first time. The meeting finished with the Pastor challenging everyone to bring another person to the meeting the following night with everyone agreeing to that commitment.
Day 16
This day we were still in the same church. There were approximately six hundred people in the meeting. There were many testimonies of the healings that had taken place the previous night. Forty-five people accepted Jesus as Lord and many received prayer for healing and deliverance.
Day 17
This day I travelled to the next city called Natal. The meeting was held in a church without any walls and approximately seven hundred people came. The church was called The International Church of Belem under the directorship of Pastor Jonas. Here twenty five people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour for the first time and many were set free from spiritual powers. Many others received prayer for healing including a man who was totally blind in both eyes for five years who was totally healed. He walked back to his seat unaided. Praise God!
Day 18
The same church was the venue for my next meeting. Many people testified of their healings from the previous night although the man who was healed from blindness was not there. But the people told me he had given a testimony on the radio that day. Twenty-one people accepted Jesus this night and many were healed including a man who walked with a crutch but no longer needed that aid.
Day 19
Today was a rest day.
Day 20
This day I was in a different church in the city of Natal which means new birth and often is associated with Christmas. There were symbols in the church that represented the Star of Bethlehem with floodlit images of the three wise men in the city. The church was called Comunicade Sara and was under the leadership of Pastor David. This was a church of approximately two hundred people. Eighty percent of the congregation were under the age of twenty. Twelve people accepted Jesus and approximately eighty percent responded to be delivered from taking consecrated food. This is the food that the catholic and spiritualists give out in the streets to children. There were many miracles, but the one that I will never forget was a young 13year old girl named Niaise. She was born with a paralysed brain and could not speak or move. All she could do was to sit in a wheelchair with her mouth open. After prayer I helped her out of the wheelchair and she was kicking and moving her arms. She was walking and holding my hand with the interpreter supporting her back. The little girl also was making noises with her mouth trying to speak. She DID not want to get back into the wheelchair to go home. Almost all the church was crying at this miracle. She was trying to tell us that she wanted to be one of the dancers. I told her mother to get her a walking frame to begin with so that she can develop the muscles in her arms and legs. Jesus is surely alive and well today!
Day 21
Again I was in the same church and many testified of their healings. The little girl did not come to the meeting because her mother was working but her sister testified for her. She told us that her sister had been out of the wheelchair all day, and just has she came to church that night, the walking frame had just arrived at their home. All the church agreed to buy the frame between them for Niaise. There were twenty-five people who accepted Jesus this night and many others were healed.
Day 22
It was an early start, for I had to catch a flight to Brasilia and then on to Manaus in the Amazon Basin. This was like another country compared to the rest of Brazil. The people here are mainly native Indian. My first meeting was that and was in a Four Square Church under the leadership of Pastor Edward. He was a very nice uncomplicated man with a genuine heart. The church was very small but there were approximately one hundred people there. Four people accepted Jesus and many more were healed.
Day 23
The meeting at night was at the IDPB (Independent Pentecostal Church of Belem) called Philadelphia. There were approximately four hundred people at the meeting and fifteen responded to the call of Salvation. Many people were healed and set free including an eight year old boy who was in a wheelchair. He had never walked in his life before but after prayer, he walked with me holding my hand. His mother broke down in tears as you can imagine. Jesus is Wonderful.
Day 24
It was an early morning start for all the team as we were to go on the Amazon River in a small boat. We travelled down the Negro River then on to the Amazon. We had a guided tour into the jungle, and we were taken to where the Alligators and Piranha fish were. After this we had a lunch on the River in a floating Restaurant. The Meeting was a good meeting with approximately thirty people accepting Jesus for the first time. One man was from East London, and this was his first time of being on an evangelistic crusade. There were many healings but the ones that I can remember the most were for three teenagers that were deaf and dumb. They were all healed by the Lord. One lady had a tumour on her neck and it was almost gone; hopefully the next day there will be no trace of it.
Day 25
An early morning start to go on a bus for a four hour ride to the next city. This city was called Itacoatiara which was a very nice city in the jungle. Here I spoke on the radio that was owned by the AOG Church. The meeting was a joint project for all the churches in the town, which people did say was a miracle on its own. It was a very good meeting with around two thousand five hundred people attending. Approximately one hundred people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and many miracles occurred including a deaf mute person who was healed. Crutches were thrown away and many more testified to their miracles.
Day 26
I travelled back to Manaus for my next meeting which again was a very good meeting in a small football stadium; there were approximately eight hundred people there. Twenty people responded to the invitation to accept Jesus and many were healed and delivered. This included a lady who had been totally blind for 3 years.
Day 27
This was to be my last day of meetings before returning to England, there were approximately five hundred in the church. People responded to the call to accept Jesus and many were healed and delivered. I had one hour to sleep and then had to go to the airport to fly to Sao Paulo for my return to England. This trip has been very fruitful for the Kingdom of God, and I wish to thank all my friends for their prayers which have upheld me the last month. I have felt healthy and strong under hard circumstances sometimes which is testimony to these prayers.
God Bless you all.
David
MISSION TO BRAZIL
MAY 2007
Day 1
I arrived safely at Sao Paulo on the 7th and was met by Pastor Samuel from the Renewed Presbyterian Church at Santa Barbara in the State of Sao Paulo; this was to be the venue for the first 2 days of the mission. After lunch at his friends home, the home of Fernando and Rita, I arrived at the Hotel for a short rest. Later I was taken to his church and as always in the Brazilian churches everyone was so pleased to see me. I was welcomed with a warm reception of approx 100 people. Many responded to the altar call for healing and I believed many were healed. Some gave testimony of their miracles. One Lady who was troubled by a demon that had been in her previous house was set free and her legs were healed. Another lady who had very impaired vision was totally restored in Jesus name.
Day 2
The meeting was in the same church, it was a cold night for Brazil. Nevertheless many people attended the service and the Lord used me to deliver many from their bondages of the past.
Day 3
After breakfast I was taken to the next church venue at Paullina. This was a Baptist Church and the Pastor of this church was a man called Ramath. Many people responded to the invitation for healing and deliverance. At this church there was almost complete deliverance across the whole Church. This was the best meeting so far on this trip.
Day 4
The next day we were in the same church and the meeting was similar to the night before. Many people gave testimony of their miracles from the previous night. We also saw as many miracles as we had previously the night before. It all finished with me singing in Portuguese and we all went and blessed each other. Afterwards the pastor took me to a very nice restaurant before we said our goodbyes.
Day 5
Today I travelled to Port Alegre by aeroplane which was a one and a half hour flight for the next meeting. This was held in a gymnasium and hosted by the Renewed Lutheran Church. The meeting was very good with 1000 in attendance. There were approximately 28 new converts to Jesus and over 700 people were healed and delivered.
Day 6
I travelled to the next city called Vacaria which was 3-4 hours travelling time. On the way it started to rain heavily which developed into heavy storm that continued all through the night. It had now become very cold. The meeting was in a gymnasium, there were approx 400+ people at the meeting. It started with a ceremony where the town mayor, symbolically handed the key to the city to the pastors of the churches. I preached and 4 people became Christians. I also prayed for many people to be delivered and healed.
Day 7
The next day I travelled to Caxies do Sul for my last meeting in the southern state of Brazil. The meeting was held in the National Baptist Church, where were many needs at this church. Four people were saved and many healed and delivered from Macumba. I then went straight to Port Alegre a 2hour trip by car as my flight left early the next day. I booked into a hotel near to the airport.
Day 8
I travelled to Porto Velho in the state of Rondonia in the north of Brazil. This is approximately 3,000 miles away from my last meeting. As soon as I got off the plane the weather was very hot around 35 degrees centigrade. I was met by the president of the Pentecostal churches along with his wife and children and the interpreter Pastor John from Manaus. Other pastors were there to meet me. This was obviously a poor town. The Pastors had worked so hard to promote the conference as there were posters everywhere I looked. The pastor said to me that this conference they believed would be the most influential thing to be undertaken in the whole state this year. No sooner had I unpacked my case in the hotel that I was taken to the Radio station for an interview. The meeting was held in the new church building that they were working on; it had no doors or windows. It just had big holes for them to be inserted. It did not matter to me because I have never been used to this kind of heat at night anyway. If I could sum up the church service in 3 words it would be amazing, amazing, amazing!
There were 8 saved and hundreds healed of all problems. This was the first time in my ministry life that I prayed for a leper. There was a young black girl of about 28years old; she was so very thin. The people told me that she had Tuberculosis and cancer was all over her body. She was crying because of the pain she was in. Here people are too poor to go to a good hospital. I prayed twice for her to be healed as did Jesus in his ministry to the man who was blind. I am in tears as I write this account because Jesus healed her. Now she was in tears for the tumours had gone and there was no longer any pain. The needs were so much that I was praying for people in the street before I was taken away in the car.
Day 9
The meeting this night was again in this same City. It was booked into a large gymnasium because of the expected amount of people attending. The gymnasium was used as the centre for all the Pentecostal churches. The television cameras were there, and I was interviewed for national television. After the worship, people gave testimony of their healings from the previous night. I was half way through my preaching when a family brought a child to Jesus for him to help them. She was crying so loud that she was even heard over the sound system which was indeed very loud. She was approximately 2 years old. Eventually they brought her onto the stage and I stopped my preaching. After I prayed for her I told her father to take her home and bring her to the meeting the next night. I continued to minister and 48 people received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Many were delivered from spirit powers and many people were healed. Two amazing miracles happened and were seen by all the audience. A lady was so determined to be healed that she would not leave until she had her miracle; her right foot was 40 centimetres shorter than the other. Here right foot grew to the same size as the other. The other was a 26 year old man in a wheelchair would had not moved his legs since birth. He did not know what it felt like to walk. He seemed also to be mentally disturbed in some way. It appeared that most of his family were born the same way into this mental illness. His ancestors had been involved in Macumba (a Brazilian form of witchcraft), so I broke the power of the devil in his life then I prayed for him to be healed. Later I heard such an amazing sound of people rejoicing as the man had started to move his legs. He took a few steps for the first time in his life whilst we held him.
Meanwhile the father of the child came back, he was very emotional as the Lord had healed her.
Day 10
This was to be my last night at this City of Porto Velho. I was about to speak, when the Pastor gave me a bag full of presents, which was most touching for me. I had built a fantastic relationship with these people over the last few days. There were 14 responses to accept Jesus this night which made a total of 89 whilst we were here. I led the whole assembly in a prayer of deliverance from their ancestors in setting them free from ungodly sexual soul ties. This is where I felt I needed a team with me on the trip as much ministry was required. Many people were healed including a man who the following day was going in for an operation on both his knees as a result of a car accident. He said he would be healed that night, and I agreed and he was. He ran around the room and tried all ways to test his knees but they were made perfect thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ. The man in the wheelchair the previous night was getting better at walking. Another man who was paralyzed from his chest downwards, who also was prayed for, testified he had feeling in his stomach area. His healing was being manifested in this area. The mother brought the little girl onto the stage who had been so ill the previous night. She explained that the little girl was covered in red blotches, the cause of which they did not know; nevertheless the little girl was very happy and well. People cried as I left the church for the last time which was amazing.
Day 11
After breakfast I went to the airport to fly to Rio Branco in the state of Acre, near to the border with Bolivia. This was in a different time zone and felt like a place in the middle of nowhere. Here I met an old friend who had been my interpreter last year, Pastor Luiz Lobo. There were approx 2000 people at the meeting both within the church and an area outside with the meeting transmitted through a large television screen outside. At the meeting, there were Pastors from the whole state and also from other states in Brazil. There were also Pastors attending from Bolivia and Peru. It was a similar experience to the National meeting of the Assemblies of God. The meeting took a unusual course as half way through they brought a demon possessed girl to the front, she was kicking and fighting and going crazy. I removed her crucifix and earrings. She was pulling my hair, kicking me and scratching my arms but the demon came out and she was delivered. This was the battle that was appropriate for the whole meeting as 12 people were saved that night and the power of God touched hundreds of people. Many people were healed and set free from demons. I have never ministered in such a powerful way through the will of our Lord and Saviour. The Executive committee of the Assemblies of God decided to ordain me as a representative for them wherever I go in the world, which was incredible. The next day they gave me the credentials; what an honour! Also the senior Pastor gave me an invite to minister in Bolivia and Peru.
Day 12
The meeting this night was held in a massive warehouse belonging to one of the Pastors of the church who supported the church financially. He was the owner of the largest supermarkets in the City. The warehouse held approximately 4000 people. This was to be the main event of the crusade. Thirty people accepted Christ as their personal saviour and many hundreds as before needed deliverance and healing. There were too many to have the healings confirmed yet I believe that they were received. I went back to the hotel to change and to get ready to go to the airport for the 2 a.m. flight to Belo Horizonte. This flight was a 5 hour trip but there was also a 4 hour delay at Brasilia.
Day 13
The Baptist church for the meeting held approximately 700 people. There were many people healed and delivered. This included a lady who could hardly walk, who relied upon a stick. The Lord healed her perfectly so I broke the stick as she did not need it anymore. Approximately 25-30 people accepted Jesus to be their Saviour.
Day 14
This meeting was to be held in another Baptist Church in Belo Horizonte, this was a small church that held approximately 400 people. There were 11 people who committed their lives to Jesus and approximately 250 people were delivered and a further 100 people healed, this included many with spine problems. One lady walked home carrying her crutch in stead of relying on it, she was improving all the time.
Day 15
Today I had an early breakfast and went to the airport to fly to Salvador in the state of Bahia. The name of the City was Alagoinhas, the streets were dirty and it was obviously a town that needed Jesus. The meeting was held by the Baptist Church in the centre of the town. It was an open air service with a very large stage in the main street surrounded by the shops. It was at the side of the town square. There were approx 700-800 people at the meeting and twelve committed their lives to Jesus. This included an elderly lady who was almost deaf who was later healed. There were hundreds who received prayer for deliverance and healing.
Day 16
The next day I was taken to another town called Camacari, which was also in the state of Bahia. Before I moved from Salvador, I did have lunch with some of the Pastors of the City. One Pastor told me that a little girl I prayed for the previous night was healed. She was 7 years old but she only looked 3 years old. She had never walked or talked and her mother carried her like a baby. Jesus is so wonderful.
Day 17
The meeting today was held in a Baptist Church at Camacari. This was an industrialised area which was dominated by oil refineries. Approximately 500 people came to the meeting and 20 accepted Jesus as their Saviour. Many people received prayer for healing and deliverance. Straight after the meeting, I had a pizza meal and was taken to the airport to fly to my next venue, Alagoas in the state of Maceio. This town has one of the finest beaches in all of Brazil.
Day 18
The meeting was very different with some of the most unusual dancing you will ever see in a Christian Church; it was almost supernatural. It was a very Old Testament style of church as you could easily see from the painitngs depicted on the walls. I spoke mainly on witchcraft in the church and almost all the church received prayer. One Lady threw her sick away as she was healed
Day 19
A relaxing day for us. Dario and I went for a boat ride and a swim out at sea. Later I went to a very nice seafood restaurant. Afterwards, I was taken to the airport for an eight hour journey to Sao Luiz in the state of Maranhao. This had been my first night off up to now on the trip. I arrived at midnight and was taken to a hotel right on the beach with the door opening onto a lovely sandy beach.
Day 20
Today’s meeting was in a large gymnasium with approximately 600-700 people in attendance. Seven people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour with many people delivered from demons. Many people also received prayer for healing. I am now coming to realise the fierceness of the Brazilian sun by the coast as I got rather sun burnt.
Day 21
The meeting was at the same place as the previous night in the gymnasium. There were many testimonies of healings from the previous night. I spoke this night on sexual soul ties amongst other things and there was much deliverance. At this meeting 8 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and again many received prayer for healing.
Day 22
After a very late meal by the sea, I finally went to bed at 3.15 a.m.. I then got up an hour later for my next flight to the last place on my schedule, a town called Imperatriz in the state of Maranhao. This was a one hour flight from Sao Luiz. Here I met my old friend Dr Jim Epley who had been ministering in this town. The meeting was at a very large Assemblies of God Church which held over 20,000 people. At the meeting there was 10,000+ people with 13 people committing their lives to Jesus. Many people were prayed for, to receive healing and deliverance.
This was the end of the mission. I wish to thank all my friends who have supported me in prayer these last few weeks. Especially to my wife Helen, who has continued fantastically our work at home whilst I have been away.
May the Lord bless you all.

MISSION TO BRAZIL
OCTOBER 2006
Day 1
We arrived on time at Sao Paulo airport; there we met our dear friend Jim Epley who had arrived at approx the same time. We were met by Pastor Marco, Suzanne and Roberto who then took us to our Hotel. After a short rest we went to look around the shopping mall.
At 6pm, Suzanne picked us up to go to our first meeting at Carapicuiba. The church here was called the Comunidade Evangelica a Servico De Jesus and is an evangelical quite lively church of approx 500 people. As the meeting progressed we found out that the interpreter had let them down, with no one who could speak English. Eventually a Taxi driver was called for who knew a little English so we managed. The Lord moved mightily with many being set free and healed during ministry. People who could hardly walk because of pain were released and walking perfectly. After a light meal we went back to our Hotel to catch up on lost sleep.
Day 2
The following day we were picked up to go to the next city called Itu where we were scheduled to be for the next 2 days. The church here is called Comunidade Evangelica Peniel. The first night we were in the sister church located in a poor suburb. At this meeting, 5 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour with approximately a further 60 people were healed. Many demons were cast out during the ministry. The Lord used the both of us to heal many sick people. My interpreter was Paul who could speak excellent English.
Day 3
We were taken by Paul our interpreter to his home to see his birds. He has many different species of parrots as well as toucans. The evening meeting was very difficult spiritually, there seemed to be heaviness present in the building and as a consequence only a few people were healed and delivered from Macumba and sexual spirits. After a nice meal at the Pastors house we went back to the hotel.
Day 4
We travelled to Valinos. After lunch at the Pastors house, we went to the home of Wellington our next interpreter, and there we led his family to Jesus. The next church was The New Presbyterian Church which had mainly a young congregation. Here approximately 100 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Many people were healed and delivered during the ministry. After a meal in the church we went back to the hotel at approx 12-30 a.m.
Day 5
The next day we were picked up to go to Piracicaba to an AOG Church. There were about 250 people attending as they had been having their annual conference. I had the privilege of being the evangelist on the Saturday evening celebration. Many people were healed and delivered and one person accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
Day 6
The next day I was picked up from the Hotel to go to Maua which is a city in central Sao Paulo. The church had a congregation of 2000 people, and 50 made a commitment to Jesus. Hundreds were healed including a man who had a paralysed right hand. Helen and I were used by the Lord to deliver many people from spiritual problems.
Day 7,8,9
We travelled by car to Carapicuiba for our first meeting as we were preaching here for 3 days. The first night I laid a foundation by speaking to the congregation from Genesis Chapter One through to Chapter three. This scripture concerns God’s creation of man and nature and his fall from God’s grace. The following night Helen gave a testimony of how the Lord set her free from the curse of words and rejection and I gave a teaching on the activity of demons in people’s lives. This included the ability to recognise demons and how to be set free. The whole Church of approximately 300 people responded to the deliverance message and consequently many were healed at the same time. The last night at this church, I spoke on healing and our right as Christians to be healthy and healed. A few people gave their testimony of miracles from the previous night, including a young lady who had cysts and stones in her womb. The following morning she went to be examined by her doctor and he said they were all gone and she was in good health. Another man had quite a large lump on the left hand side of his neck, and the day following prayer the lump was practically all gone.
The final night there was a mighty flow of the Holy Spirit. Some people were healed before the laying on of hands. This included a man who was brought to the meeting by his brother (who had been healed the previous night). The man was about 70 years of age and had been unable to speak for 13 years. The Lord healed him and he started to speak.
Day 10
The next day we were to travel to Bastos in the state of Mina Gerais. However, the traffic was so congested in Sao Paulo that we missed the bus. The plans were changed and we caught a coach to Barratos in the same state. This was a 6 hour journey, and we arrived too late to preach and therefore had an evening off. The Lord is good as he knows we have to rest sometime.
Day 11
It was very hot and we realised we were in Brazil. The Church was an AOG Church and the people were very welcoming. After lunch, we were taken to the famous Brazilian Rodeo arena which is held once a year in Barretos. It was very enjoyable to see this spectacle. The church meeting started at 7-30 p.m. This seemed a poor church with no musicians and it did not appear to be used to the moving of the Holy Spirit. It seemed to be a traditional conservative church. People responded for salvation, many for healing and deliverance. One lady was healed after having to use a crutch for 12 months. She was unable to stand for any length of time before prayer, afterwards she ran around the whole church totally healed. A lady had a lump in her breast that was gone after prayer. A lady testified that before prayer she had a problem in the womb area but after prayer all the pain had gone. There were many more who testified to their miracles that they had received in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ.
Day 12
The next day at 9.00 a.m. we boarded a coach for an 8 hour journey to go back to Sao Paulo. We arrived at 5.30 p.m. and were picked up by Henrique who was an old friend from Kyrios church in Lapa. This was to be our venue for the next 3 days.
We stayed at the home of a church member Sidney, his wife Maude and their family. After greeting many old friends, the church meeting began at 8.00 p.m. and I began to preach. Three people responded for salvation; a few people were delivered; and many were healed from spinal problems. A lady had pain in her womb and in both her breasts because of cancer but after prayer she testified that all the pain had gone and she was set free and healed.
Day 13
The next day we were taken for a wonderful lunch before going to church. At the church, there were approximately 300 people. Helen and I sang to them in Portuguese. Helen testified of how the Lord Jesus had set her free from rejection and I preached. One person accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour with many people being healed and delivered from various spirits. Helen ministered to approximately 50 people who were released from rejection as a result of the provoking by the Holy Spirit through Helen’s testimony. The Pastor had been sick for 2 days from a strange illness, so before the meeting we went to his home to pray for him. After the service we were told that he had improved.
Day 14
The next night we were in the same church with the service being filmed. The Kyrios church was preparing for the near future as they are hoping to begin their own TV programme. At the meeting, a young girl was healed of asthma. A Pastor from another city came up for prayer as he had cancer of the liver and was in pain. After prayer the pain left him. An elderly couple came for prayer; the lady was helped into the church by two people. She used a stick but after prayer she walked on her own around the church without it. Her husband could not lift his left arm higher than 90 degrees and also was deaf in his right ear. He was completely restored after prayer. There were more healings during the meeting.
Day 15
The Pastor who had been healed of cancer of the liver came to see us to tell us that he was feeling totally restored and healed. He also brought with him another Pastor friend who had a heart problem and diabetes. We prayed and believe the lord will grant a miracle for him as well.
Day 16
Eventually we arrived at the airport after driving through Sao Paulo peak time traffic. The plane was delayed for 1 hour for our trip to a city called Uberlandia in another state called Mini Gerais. We were met by our next guides who took us to our Hotel. At 8.00 p.m. we were taken to The First National Baptist Church. It was a nice service with Helen and I singing in Portuguese. After the preaching, 11 people made first time commitments to the Lord Jesus Christ. Many people received prayer for healing and deliverance. After the service we were taken to a lovely Churrascaria Restaurant where the people treated us wonderfully.
Day 17
This day we were at the same church in Uberlandia. There were many testimonies given of the healings from the previous night’s ministry. Jesus moved powerfully in this nights meeting as well. Helen gave a testimony and we both sang and I ministered the Word of God. Two people responded for salvation and many were healed and delivered. This included a man who had been suffering with stomach problems for 30 years and was always in constant pain. This night Jesus set him free and he had no pain for the first time in 30 years. There were people healed with asthma, head and neck problems to name but a few of the miracles that happened.
Day 18
The next day I spoke at the FGBMFI breakfast. A man was healed after 20years of not being able to lift his left arm. Another man was healed from having a constant pain in his liver. A man who regularly visited an acupuncturist because of his back problem was healed. I told him never again to go to the occult practitioner. After the meeting we were taken to Araguari for our next engagement. We stayed in the Palace Hotel which was very nice.
Day 19
In Araguari, the meeting was held in a Baptist Church called Shekienha (the Glory of God) which was in a very poor neighbourhood. Helen testified and I preached. Little did I know that this meeting was to be the most outstanding meeting I had even been involved in. The lady worship leader was healed of a frozen arm after many years when Helen prayed for her. Many children were healed in their legs when Helen prayed. Helen also prayed for a man for Rejection and inferiority, after prayer his leg was healed. Blind people received their sight; many deaf people were healed; numerous spines were restored; and backs were healed. Many demons manifested violently during the ministry. Twenty people made a first time commitment to Jesus which was wonderful. At the end of the night, a man brought in a lady with the help of her family who had an incurable spine disorder. She was being treated by a number of surgeons. She was being treated at five different hospitals as her case was the first of its kind in the world. The lady was the subject of an investigation by the world of medical science. In four weeks time, a team from each hospital were to go to Germany for a conference with the worlds most prominent spine surgeons to discuss her case. However, no need for all of that after prayer; the greatest doctor in the universe healed her, JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD. She walked, bent down, sat down and picked herself up all unaided. She then walked home with her husband and left both crutches in the church. Isn’t God a great God?
Her husband was crying, he was kissing me and said he would pray for me every day as long as he lives. He said only God could pay me for what had happened. I told him Jesus had paid for it at the cross of Calvary. After a late meal we went back to the Hotel about 1.30 a.m. At 7.00 a.m. we departed to the next city .
Day 20
The next venue was part of The Four Square Church; the Pastor here was very open to receive the deliverance ministry. We had a very good interpreter in Pastor Luis from the city of Belo Horizonte. There were many healings and miracles with four people accepting Jesus for the first time. One notable miracle that night was a lady who used a walking frame as a result of being in a car accident. After prayer she walked home with her frame folded up under her arm. Deaf people were healed and the blind had their eyesight restored. Head injuries, back problems and people with arthritis were healed. The Pastor of this church is in charge of 25 churches, and once a year he hosts a convention in large conference room in a luxury 5 star Hotel set in a very idyllic place. The conference is for 1000 Pastors in the state of Mini Gerais. Next year he hopes to double the number of people attending from other states in Brazil. They had 8 internationally renowned speakers last year some of whom would be regarded as “world famous”. For next year, he has invited me to be one of the speakers to teach the leaders of the churches on deliverance in September 2007. It is such an honour for a lad from Coalville to be invited to such an event but the Lord reminded me by showing me in His Word that the Pharisees spoke about him when they said “can anything good come from Nazareth”. We arrived back at the Hotel at 1am.
Day 21
We left for the next city at 5.30 a.m. by bus for the city of Araras. We arrived at 12.30 p.m. and were taken to a very nice Hotel, which was most appreciated. After a rest we were taken to a very nice and orderly church, which was again part of The Four Square Church. There were 1000 people in the church that night. The meeting was being transmitted live on Brazilian television and on Radio worldwide via the internet. There were so many people who responded for healing that it was impossible for me to minister individually. So I believed the Lord to heal the people as I gave the words of knowledge. Many raised their hand to say that they had been healed. This included a lady who was in a lot of tears as the cancerous tumour on her neck had disappeared. The Pastor of this church is a leading figure in the town and he wants to invite me for a month to minister all around the region. I don’t know if this will be possible as we have been invited back to every church that we have ministered in.
Day 22
We were taken to the bus station at 7.30 a.m. to go to Ourinous where we arrived at the town at 2pm. The church was again Part of The Four Square Church with approx 400 in the service. A call was made for salvation and 14 people responded for the first time to accept the Lord Jesus as their saviour. There were many miraculous healings with one of the most amazing was when Helen prayed for a young girl who was approximately 18 years old. She was blind in the left eye but after she received prayer she was healed and had full vision. A man who was deaf and a lady with a spine problem were also healed under the ministry of Helen. I ministered to a 6 year old boy who was deaf and dumb but after prayer he could hear and say the words in English, “Hello” and “Jesus” as he repeated them after me.
Day 23
This day was to be the last of our organised mission at the city of Osasco. We stayed at the home of the assistant Pastor to the church where earlier in the mission the senior Pastor was healed of cancer. When we arrived we were pleased to here he was very well and recovered. Apparently the medical profession had earlier told him they could no longer do anything for him, but that was no problem for Jesus! Helen testified and I preached and 2 people accepted Jesus. Many people were healed of various ailments during the meeting. As I spoke to Dario, he told me he was preaching in the church the next day were the boy who was deaf and dumb was healed. He told me the little boy was now speaking normally and his whole life had been changed.
Day 24, 25
We then had a couple of days vacation before flying to Rio de Janeiro to minister in the 1st Baptist church of the Rochina. This is in a very dangerous area of Rio, but a place that really needs Jesus. We were picked up from our hotel to go the Rochina church, which was full of approximately 250 people. Helen testified and I preached with us both singing in Portuguese to the meeting. When the call for salvation came two ladies responded with one lady being set free when she invited The Holy Spirit into her life for the first time. Many responded for the ministry of healing and deliverance including one lady who had a memory loss. Under ministry a strong demon that had been in her head manifested but she was released in the name of The Lord Jesus. Another young lady was set free from epilepsy with others being healed of back, stomach, leg, chest, and arm problems. One lady who had suffered a pain and infirmity in her right arm for 10 years was also healed. Praise God.
We would like to thank all our friends who have been praying for us, we wish to thank all those kind people in England who have supported us on this mission. Many thanks for your love, prayers and kindness to us.
To The Lord Jesus we give all the glory, for truly He is THE SAME
YESTERDAY TODAY AND FOREVER
Pastor David & Helen Measures
Mission to Romania
August 2006
Day 1
After a long night of travelling we arrived at our destination Cluj Napocia in Romania. Pastor Iaon (John) picked us up at the airport and took us to his house, which was to be our home for the next 12 days. Pastor John lives with his wife Phoebe and his 3 children Flavious aged 15, Linda aged 12, and Nacho aged 4. Flavious and Linda were very good piano players, regarded as the best for their ages in all Romania.
Day 2
Next day was to be our first meeting, to be held at the Pastor’s home. This meeting was the first to be held by Pastor Iaon in his new house. Approximately 20 people came to the meeting where Dougie and Helen testified and I brought a short message from Psalm 103. A few received prayer for healing.
Day 3
The following day was our first meeting outside of the suburbs; this was approximately 40 miles away at a gipsy church. The Church was at Jabou where 4 people accepted Jesus and many were prayed for, for healing. In the afternoon we visited a very poor gypsy family, who lived in a mud hut. All the family were prayed for in the family. The lady of the house had a large growth on her neck and the husband was healed of back pain. The uncle had a growth on his side and he also had swollen feet. In the evening we went to a small church where Jesus healed many people, including a man who had his hearing restored; 2 ladies were healed from frozen shoulders; and a lady with headache and back ache was delivered from a spirit of witchcraft. One lady who had a hip problem was healed; many were set free from demons.
Day 4
The next day was a rest day and we went for a drive in the mountains, before coming home for a very nice dinner.
Day 5
The following day we spent at the Pastor’s house, and then in the evening we had a meeting at home with about 30 people. Two ladies were healed of back problems with a further three ladies accepting Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
Day 6
After a good nights sleep we went for a ride on the horse and cart. Dougie took the reigns and collected sweet corn from the Martin’s field. Martin was one of the farmers that came to the church. In the afternoon we went to the church, where Dougie was to preach. We reached the church after visiting a sick lady in the town of Jabou; she was suffering from cancer and had just come out from the hospital yet still in pain. After prayer, the pain left her and we went on our way to the church meeting. Dougie spoke on the story of the lame man at the pool of Bethesda. Five people accepted Jesus and many were prayed for to be healed. We arrived home at 1 a.m. very tired but extremely fulfilled having had a really good meeting.
Day 7
The next day we went to the city of Cluj for a walk around the shops, then back home for a barbeque. We then went to the gypsy church approx 80 miles away. On the way we stopped for an old man who was lying on the floor, others were around him, he had either had a heart attack or had tripped and hit his head on the road. He died almost instantly. After doing what we could we carried on our journey. When we reached our destination we found there had been a riot between the gypsies and the locals. A young gypsy girl was found to have stolen a sunflower head to eat the seeds. Because of this the meeting was cancelled. We then went to the home of one of the gypsies where I taught on covering, explaining the reason why it is so important. The Romanian people accept and practice this very well. We had a meal then travelled back home arriving 2am.
Day 8
We travelled to the eastern part of the area we were in to another gypsy church. We arrived for church at 10pm. Every one in the church (approximately 40 people) accepted Jesus with many people being healed and delivered. The people met in a room belonging to one of the gypsies, they were very open and loving to us all, we arrived home at 1-45am.
Day 9
We went to the Hospital to pray for a little girl and her mother. This lady owned the house where we had met the previous night. She told us she wanted to dedicate her large room for the church to meet there in the future. Later we had lunch and went to the next church on the Saturday evening. Many people came forward for prayer and were touched by the power of God.
Day 10
Sunday morning we travelled again to Jabou the venue of the previous Sunday meeting. I taught on the need for covering and the protection against the forces of evil. We had lunch in the city of Cluj and then went on to the Pentecostal church. We were only visitors to this very large church, but when the Pastor realised we were on a mission to Romania he invited us to sing and I brought a short message. After the message, the Pastor invited me to pray for the sick. Many people came forward crying out to the Lord, and we believe that many were healed.
Romania is a place that is open to Jesus. Although many are very poor in material things, they are rich in the things of God. I would like to thank all that have made our trip possible, both in support and their prayers.

Brazil Diary
July 2006
Day 1
I arrived at the airport in Rio de Janeiro but my driver was waiting for me at the other terminal so unfortunately we missed each other. However, I decided to catch a taxi to Volta Redonda to the Quality Hotel for a cost of 250 Rias (£80p).
Breakfast at the hotel was very nice. I decided after breakfast to go for a walk in the local town. I believe that I must have been the only Englishman there for a considerable time. Everyone was very extremely nice to me.
I was taken to lunch in a Mercedes car by Albert my driver and his friend Fabio (an excellent English interpreter who is hired by big companies for his translating skills).
We went to the shopping centre, then on to pray for a young man with a mysterious illness who was one of the worship team. Afterwards I went back to Hotel for a rest, then on to the Church at 6-30pm, with my driver and his family. The church seated 3000 people and had its own restaurant. The distance from the front to the rear seemed to me to resemble the length of a football field.
I preached and ministered, helped by my new interpreter Pastor Fernandes, hundreds came for prayer and all were set free and healed. Time did not allow me to test the healings but I do know one lady who was deaf in one ear was healed. One lady was saved. One young lad I met had a profound impact upon me, his name was Bruno. He needed to forgive his mother for the atrocities she had done to him during his life. He had large knife scars on his body inflicted by his Mother. He knew all about pain and rejection. I was led by the Lord to prophesy over him that he will be used mightily to heal many destroyed people. He then prayed through his tears for the first time for his friend who had experienced the similar rejection and pain to himself. Itr eally was very moving. We went to dinner in an Arabian restaurant and finally returned to my Hotel around 2am.
Day 2
I was picked up from the hotel by the people from the next evangelical church I was going to preach at. They very kindly took me to lunch to the Hanna Palace Hotel in Barra do Pirai, a nice city. Here we had a buffet lunch and I then met Thomas Tutuko another part of the team also having lunch, a very good man. I walked around the town and called into a Christian bookshop. The church here was a very exciting church. My interpreter at this venue was Pastor Edward, a Brazilian Pastor who preaches in America. Many people were delivered and a few were healed and restored during the meeting. We had food at the church afterwards and arrived back at the Hotel approx 1am.
Day 3
Next day after breakfast I stayed in my room waiting for Uysara and Alexandro from the Ebenezeer Baptist Church to pick me up and to take me to the next venue at Duque de Caxias, one of the suburbs of Rio. They picked me up at 12.30 and we stopped on route for a barbeque lunch. We arrived at the Hotel Associacao Atletica Banco do Brazil which was a sports academy. Pastor Jonedir invited me back to stay with him and preach in his church in Oct/Nov if I can make it. This was not like any Baptist church I have ever been in. The meeting was in a outdoor school gymnasium adjoining the football field. All around the city there were signs and massive bill boards advertising the crusade. Many people were healed including 2 people who were blind in one eye. One of these people was a man who had many problems, including in his left hand, chest and right eye. It seemed as though he had very severe burns, and he said his blood felt like it was very hot. He was completely healed in all of his afflictions. Great healings took place including people healed of deafness; a crippled lady threw away her stick; backs were healed; spines restored; and headaches disappeared. One lady had had a pain in the head constantly for 20years. She lay at my feet crying and touching the hem of my trousers. Jesus completely healed her. For the first time in 20years she was without any pain. These are to name but a few. We had food at the church before going back to the Hotel.
Day 4
The next day I was taken to the Hotel Regina in Flamengo along with Pastor Joe and Pastor Andreas and Walter my interpreter. Walter is an Israeli lecturer in Hebrew /Portuguese/English/Spanish who had been specially engaged for the crusade. The church was a Baptist church at Rosinna, a suburb of the Fedillos. The people here were involved in Macumba, Voodoo, crime etc. At 6-30 p.m., I was picked up to go to church at Rosinna. What a culture shock it was as we travelled through the streets. The church was probably one of the liveliest I have been to with 4-5 Pastors working there for the founder Pastor. The founder Pastor who had previously been working alone in this evil place had developed Parkinson’s disease and had not preached for six years. The Lord later set him free from his ailment, praise God. Eighty per cent of the people were prayed for to be released from Macumba (Satanism). There were healings throughout the meeting and it was finished with an uproar of worship and praise. Pastor Andreas and Walter later took me to the most expensive restaurant in Rio which was lovely.
Day 5
In the morning, I was picked up to go to Petropolis, the Imperial city of Brazil where the Imperial palace is located. My driver was Perculis, who is a federal judge in Brazil. We had a wonderful lunch in Petropolis before going to the lovely Hotel Casablanca adjacent to the Imperial Palace. I went for walk and was tempted to go for a tour of the city in a horse and carriage, but instead I went back to the hotel for a rest. At 6.30 p.m., I was picked up to go to a church that had seats for a 1,000 people. My initial impression was that the Pastor had mixed feelings towards the entire mission as he thought some parts of it to be good and some not so good. The church was well organised and extremely positive. The Pastor had previously been a missionary with O.M. and had spent some time in England. He visits Israel once every year. The worship here was beautiful with wonderful choreography.
Whilst I was preaching here a man stood up and threw his bible at me which landed at my feet. He then started to manifest a demon. I stopped preaching then started to minister deliverance to the man. I then carried on preaching and there was a great response for salvation, between 30-40 souls. Over eighty per cent of the people came for deliverance from Macumba (a mixture of Satanism/witchcraft/spiritualism). This was my favourite meeting up to now. After a meal at a restaurant I went to the Hotel. and had 3-4 hours sleep.
Day 6
I was picked up early in the morning to go to the airport to fly to Espirito Santo (Holy Spirit). The whole mission team met up at Vitoria. We then dispersed by individual cars to go to the different cities. Pastor Dario and I travelled together for 3 hours and stopped for lunch at Marataizes, a seaside resort. Dario insisted that I tried the local fish delicacy, but it was not the summer season. The Pastor walked around the local restaurants to see if he could purchase one. He brought back the fish, and there was enough for 4 people. Here I left my good friend Dario and travelled another 2 hours to Alegre, a small town in the mountains.
The church had a beautiful building, it was an A.O.G. church. I had to wear a suit and a tie for the meeting. The meeting started with the people giving honour to the local Mayor who was a catholic. He was a doctor by profession and had spent 2 years at Great Ormond St Hospital in London. Then the same honour was given to the vice Mayor, who told me he was a Presbyterian. On the stage were a line of chairs where sat approximately 12 elders. This was a Pentecostal church of approximately 200 people, but included no worship time. This church and its people appeared to me to be almost dead. The Pastor needed to work in a full time secular job, as the 200 people neither knew how to give or receive. It was very sad. At this church, I found it hard to minister, as many came for prayer but they were all very rigid. If a person was slain in the spirit they quickly picked them up, without allowing them to completely receive. It was very hard but nevertheless 2 people received back their sight and many were healed, and one gave his life to Jesus. At first this seemed a closed church to the Holy Spirit, but I hope and pray as the mission continues it will be more open. After a bite to eat I went back to the Hotel at 11-30pm for an early night.
Day 7
In the morning, I was picked up by car to go back to Marataizes. Here I had lunch and then went for short walk. I was picked up at 6-45pm to go to the meeting which was in an outdoor gymnasium. There was strong security at the entrance because of the amount of people attending over 1100. This was a united service of the A.O.G. churches. Many made a first time decision for Jesus with approximately 30 people coming forward. I prayed for deliverance for approximately 600 and healing for a further 100. There were many miracles including sight being restored; 3 people were healed of breathing problems and after prayer they ran around the building. Many with head problems and back problems were healed. This was a great night. We then went back to the Hotel around 11-30pm for a meal of the local fish delicacy and rice.
Day 8
The next day I was picked up at 9.00 a.m. to travel to the next city which was Mantenopolis in northern Espirito Santo. We arrived there at 8.00 p.m. which was an 11 hour journey. We picked up Aaron Taylor a 28 year old and his wife Rhiannon from USA along the journey. The last hour of the journey was via a narrow dirt road. The church was a nice church in this little city. Out of approximately 120 people, 18 people made a commitment for Christ. Approximately, 50 people were delivered and 30 people were prayed for healing. My interpreter here was a 23 year old English teacher from Victoria. I was then taken to my Hotel about 11-15pm. The Hotel was a Christian Hotel in a very poor town, no hot water, but the hotel staff were very friendly to me. I had lunch at the Pastors mothers’ house and everyone was so friendly.
Day 9
Next day I was picked up to go to Barra Sao Francisco at 2 pm. There I met my interpreter a lovely American girl who the Lord has called to live in Brazil with her husband and 2 children. She has a wonderful testimony, as she died whilst giving birth to one of her children. She was proven to be clinically dead for 2 days, but Jesus brought her back. She was an excellent interpreter. The meeting was held in a gymnasium. The church felt disappointed as there were only approx 100 people as a result of their being at the same time in the town a famous Brazilian singer performing. Nevertheless 7 people were saved with approximately 35 people set free. A further 22 were healed including a lady who could not see or focus properly.
Day 9
The next day was an early start for the 8 hour trip to Cachoeiro does Itapemirim. I was taken to the home of Pastor Jesse and Vera, and here I met Max my interpreter who was excellent. He had previously interpreted for Morris Cerrelo, Benny Hinn and many others. They took me to the Hotel Rio Grande, a very nice hotel. The church meeting started at 7.00 p.m. and they picked me up at 8.40 p.m. which was ‘after all Brazil time’. The church was full with approximately 250-300 people attending. The ministry was hard because they seemed to be offended about being slain in the spirit. Nevertheless approx 80 people came for deliverance with many being healed instantly and 7 accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. The meeting finished around midnight then we went for a meal at a restaurant.
Day 10
The next day I was picked up to go to my last destination in Espirito Santo called Guarpari. This was a beautiful seaside town, where I was scheduled to speak for 2 nights. I was taken to a wonderful seafood restaurant with the food being like nothing I had ever tasted before, all cooked in mango and coconut sauce. My hotel was very nice as it was in a holiday resort and had a very nice swimming pool which I tried. The meeting was held in a gymnasium adjoining the complex. This was a spiritually hard place as there was a stronghold of freemasonry in the city. A Macumba (Satanist) meeting place was also within 50yds of the building. The meeting was led by a male singer who I did not feel quite right about as he was trying to create an atmosphere of euphoria instead of reverence to God. He seemed to be concentrating on promoting himself and the selling of his CDs. His music was so loud that maybe he wanted the whole city to hear him. My interpreter was not the best I had used and the people were very noisy. There were intercessors in the background that prayed so loud I could not hear myself speak, so everything was very difficult.
The other churches in the city were having their own meetings and not supporting the mission or one another as tends to happen in England. I starting my word by giving them a warning from God. He told me to tell them that He was not happy with them. They needed to be careful as the revival could easy become sidetracked for their own gain with them wanting more to have their ears tickled by concert type meetings rather than the Word of God. After I made an appeal for salvation 8 people came forward to receive Christ, approximately 80% needed deliverance and approximately 50 came for healing.
Day 11
Next day I was taken on a drive around the city, and had a meal again in the fish restaurant. I then went for a swim back at the resort. The meeting was better, but still the people came it appeared only to hear the singer. I addressed the problem, then I preached, hundreds repented, many were saved, healed and delivered. Among those were 3 working prostitutes. We had a wonderful meal at midnight of steak and pizza; I arrived at the hotel at 2 am, only to be awakened by the alarm clock at 5am to go to the airport in Vitoria to catch the morning flight to Sao Paulo.
Day 11
We arrived at the next Hotel at 12noon. Dario and Thomas missed their flight, so they came later. We arrived at the Hotel Centre Park in the city of Lapa, not one of the best hotels that we stayed in. I had lunch here with the Pastor and his friend who spoke limited English. The meeting at the church was nice but only approximately 150 people came. Many were healed and delivered; some made a re-commitment to Christ also 3 accepted Jesus for the first time. The cities in Sao Paulo are so polluted from all the traffic fumes that this was affecting my throat.
Day 12
I was taken to lunch by the Pastor of the Renewed Methodist Church and then taken to the Hotel Ibis. The meeting was in a very nice church with approximately 300 people present. The ministry was very powerful, 7 people accepted Jesus and many people made a re-commitment. Approx 70- 80 people who were prayed for were healed, with another 100 receiving deliverance. One young man who was totally blind in his left eye was healed. A lady was brought to the church that was due to have her legs amputated the next week. As I walked by her I reached out to her hand and she arose out of her wheelchair and walked around the large church. Many in the church were in tears as they saw the miracle power of Jesus. A lady who had a withered hand was restored with feelings returning to her hand. This was an exceptional night of miracles in Jesus name.
Day 13
After breakfast I was taken to Sao Vicente a coastal town in Sao Paulo to a top class Hotel, where we had lunch. After a walk around the town I went for a rest before the meeting at the Four Square Church. Twelve people accepted Jesus and one made a re-commitment. Many were delivered and saved, including a lady who was deaf in one ear. Afterwards we had a meal in the barbeque restaurant as Brazilians do eat so late.
Day 14
I was taken to Sao Bernardo do Campo, which was to be my last preaching engagement. The Hotel Hetropolis was the next place I stayed in and was a nice hotel. The meeting was at a very nice A.O.G. Church with approximately 300 people attending. 5 new people accepted Jesus; approximately 20 made a re-commitment; many were delivered; and approximately 60 people were healed. One lady had a brain tumour and was in pain in and around her right eye. After prayer, the pain had gone. The pastor was healed from a series of small tumours around his waist; he was surprised that neither he nor his wife could find them after prayer. I had a meal later at a very nice home of a church member.
Day 15
The next day I left for the airport back to sunny England. The mission was a great experience, and I am grateful to the Lord for His love and guidance on my life. I am grateful to Him for all those who made it possible, and a special thanks to all my praying friends for everything. Whether we are on mission or at home we all share in the blessings.
David
Bulgarian Mission
15th to 25th July 2005
Bulgaria has flourished from the 9th century in culture and tradition. The country has had many influences on its culture because it is strategically placed on a main route from the east (Asia) and the Western world. The people are very friendly and open in spite of the many years of continual oppressive Governments and Authorities. We were invited by Plamen the Pastor of Renewal Church, one of the largest Romany gypsy churches in Bulgaria. We stayed with him and his wife Maria who is a very talented artist. She sells her artwork to contribute to the church work and their ministry. We arrived Friday evening, met by Ali (a Gypsy) the driver, who is a very talented musician and singer-songwriter, and Plamen (a Bulgarian) our host and interpreter for the Mission. In the Gypsy suburb, there is much poverty, poor sanitation and oppression of many kinds. This was a real eye opener for us and the atmosphere of gloom took some time to evaporate.
The Mission
Saturday
After a ride into Sofia City in the morning An evening Banquet Meeting was held in the local Disco. There was testimony and song, David brought the message from John Ch 3 Approx. 400 people attended more then 150 were ministered to for healing and deliverance and all accepted Jesus as their Saviour. Amazing! John made contact through speaking a little Romanesque. It was a most enjoyable, powerful meeting which seemed to be lifting some downcast expressions.
Sunday
Morning Service in Bulgarian Church in Sofia. Pastor Atanas, who did not completely believe in the ‘deliverance’ ministry, did so after the testimonies of healing through deliverance from many of his congregation and later himself. David’s message, was from Proverbs Ch 3. Most enjoyable morning, after refreshments, Pastor Atanas invited us to return the following Sunday which we did. The Pastor then came to other services where we ministered. Praise the Lord. Sunday Evening Service at Pastor Plamen’s Renewal Church. The Church is located by the side of the main train line in the Gipsy suburb. Having found no where to meet some years ago, Ali and his wife Rene immediately took off the roof of their house built up and replaced the roof. The Church is on the 1st floor and a small studio where he records and produces his CDs. After much worship and song David brought message, (about Blind men). Dougie sang, John testified, again many healed and saved and delivered. This time it was en-mass. The congregation totalled about 100 persons and all requested prayer. Much deliverance is needed in the Gypsy church particularly from Witchcraft and Generation curses, depression and lack of self-worth. Ali’s music was powerful and the youth singers were encouraging much praise to God, Wonderful. Praise The Lord!
Monday
Morning off, so we were taken into the mountains, after a little anxiety because the van boiled up and we had to take a rest half way up the mountain and the brakes became hot on the way down so we decided to take a break and have a meal. The mountain and countryside were beautiful but sadly apparently since the Russians withdrew there are many abandoned buildings and run down businesses including the ski stations in the mountains, sadly only lacking investment. However, we did have a super meal at a restaurant in the hillside and we were invited to eat mice, we were reluctant until we found that they meant Maize. (Lost in translation) Evening service led by Helen, for the Ladies who had never previously had a service of their own. About 30 ladies attended and there was prayer for healing and deliverance and sharing their immediate problems much of which were family issues as there was hardly any employment for the men and many would turn to drink or drugs and had became rough or violent. John and Dougie took the opportunity to evangelise near by and led 15 others to the Lord, one of which had his leg healed. Praise The Lord!
Tuesday
Dougie went off to the recording studio with Ali. The remainder went into town. Later we went to a village in the hillside to visit a young couple with 2 small boys who were enquiring about teaching as they had previously been involved with a Cult. There are many different cults attracted to Bulgaria at this time. After prayer and refreshments we left them very happy. Later, Helen led a second ladies meeting, teaching and prayer and concluded with a song and dance, which they all enjoyed. John had the opportunity to play with some children around the church.
Wednesday
For the Evening Meeting, we went east about 30 kms out of the city to a village. (Elin Pelin) The Pastor, was Tomi, Plamen’s Bible school friend. Most enjoyable, much more relaxed Bulgarian people very poor but seemed much happier and loved the Lord, His Word and us too. Testimonies were given by Dougie, Helen, and John. David brought a message, about the ‘woman with a spirit of infirmity’ from Luke Ch13 which they received with much enthusiasm. Great meeting many miracles, people healed from blindness, lameness, a speech impediment, broken curses of diabetes, cancer, witchcraft and generational curses. The Pastor was very grateful as he said, he knew that this was needed in his church but had yet to find this ministry. He then asked if we would return again before we left, so we did, two days later. We were beginning to be encouraged because testimonies were beginning to reach us from earlier ministry. Stephan the man who owned the local Disco had been to the hospital and the doctor said that his heart problem had been confirmed healed following prayer.
Thursday
At the Evening Meeting at Renewal Church David brought message on the ‘End times’ as the Pastor had requested. Gypsies have a great interest in the prophetic. Another busy meeting with ministry as it was ‘noised abroad’ that the ministry was in town and new people kept coming.
Friday
After breakfast we had a more in depth teaching and bible study at home. Later we went to the ‘Feeding Station’ to see the children arrive for their free soup, bread and carton of fruit juice. The older women cooked the soup in a very large pan and after ‘grace’ was said, the children came and went in a steady stream about 60 in all. Some came with a bowl for the family at home and any food that was left was divided out. Then we continued on to the Church in the village of Elin Pelin again. Ali was able to try out the video camera, which we had purchased for them earlier. So he recorded the service which was very interesting with many testimonies of healing being given from the previous visit’s ministry. After the testimonies, many came forward for prayer before we could start the service. About 30 people were healed. More exciting testimonies followed the worship and the message ‘the healing the Paralysed man’ from Mark Ch 2 which David brought and followed by ministry and song. A lady came on crutches and said she had broken her hip but never could afford to go to the hospital. Following prayer she left waving her crutches in the air and could not keep quiet. Many people testified to the power of God having healed and changed their lives.
Saturday
Peaceful morning, slow start, we took a ride into the town with Plamen. In the afternoon, a thunderstorm drenched everything, and we thought it might prevent the children coming to the children’s service later, led by Helen and Dougie. However, the sun came out and so did the children. So they came. Dougie was a great help with the songs and ‘the drama,’ which was about the ‘Great Banquet.’ We had managed to find some string, a cloak, a wedding dress and veil, a bandage or too, a stick and begging bowl. We practised for the performance on Sunday, and a good time was had by all. The evening service followed this, again enthusiastic worship and song. David preached from John Ch 8, ‘the woman caught in adultery’ and ministered, much love shared and others were encouraged to learn to do ministry, and they were very keen students. Dougie was able to share his testimonies about his near death experience, his grandchild’s fall and miraculous healing, and several testimonies regarding his horses which the gypsies appreciated. Although, in retrospect, it now seems that the one of the greatest witnesses throughout the mission was that Dougie and David, Gypsy and (Gorger) House dweller were close brothers in Christ. Different cultures but all one in Christ.
Sunday
The Early Service found us back to Pastor Atanas’s church in Sofia. Pastor Atanas wasn’t sure that the people would come because last week’s meeting had been so different but he needn’t have worried there were more than ever. We worshipped, sang and heard many testify to the goodness of God. David preached from James Ch 3 ‘the tongue’ and ministry followed and everyone became involved and enjoyed the signs and wonders that the Lord performed in the midst. Curses were broken; healings were witnessed, including a deaf and dumb girl. Praise Jesus! The Evening Celebration Service proceeded by the ‘Drama’ performed by the children. Other church leaders also attended the service. David brought his final message following the praise and worship from Matt.Ch13. ‘Mustard seed re: Deception.’ Then after ministry, again many people received prayer, and testified, this included a healing of a deaf and dumb child. Prayers were said for the Pastors especially Plamen and Ali and the church in the suburb. They reciprocated by prayer for our safe return and our ministries. David’s concluding prayer 2 Chr. Ch 7 v 13-14. That their land would be healed, and that they, who have the truth, would be the ones to take the message to set Bulgaria free, in love and power. Different cultures but all one in Christ.
Monday
We were praising God for the privilege that he would use such as us, to encourage these lovely people who have very generous hearts but very few possessions. We bought some presents for Maria, who had looked after all our needs unstintingly for the whole time. We thanked them all again, shared lunch together at home, said our goodbyes to the family. Pastor Plamen and Ali took us to the airport. The flight left at 3pm - home - by 5pm GMT Heathrow. Praise the Lord for his goodness to us.
